4th March Dey do dough don't dey dough?

So before you start to think that today's blog is in some way going to be related to the no 1 song recorded by The Police back in the 1980, let me stop you before you even get started.

No it is in fact a reference to a regularly used catchphrase from the perm sporting, shellsuit wearing Three Scoucers, 'Garry, Barry and Terry', that were a regular feature in the Harry Enfield show, because today I am heading for Liverpool.

It's just a little jolly staying in an air B&B for a couple of nights before the final mad rush of Easter begins. It was TOM's idea to go as neither of us have spent any real time in the city before and its only a couple of hours drive away.

We have what could be described as a 'loose sort of plan' for what we are going to do when we are there mainly because TOM doesn't like to / can't plan, but I'm sure there will be enough to do depending on the weather. And even if that isn't great we can visit various indoor themed attractions.

Today we simply got here via a trip along the Wirral, stopping off to have lunch at 'Spoons in Hoylake followed by a brief drive around Port Sunlight, the picturesque village founded and built by the so called  ‘Soap King’ William Hesketh Lever in 1888  to house Lever’s ‘Sunlight Soap’ factory workers.

Not that I will remember much about it compared to the utter sense of relief upon finally emptying a bladder ready to burst in the station's disabled toilet. Such are the moments that make the best holiday memories!!
