14th March When racism,is not racist

When is racist speech not not really all that racist? The answer appears to be when the person who has made such racist comments is a millionaire donor to the Conservative party.

While comments about hating all black people and wanting to shoot Labour MP Diane Abbott might sound more than a bit racist to the untrained ear, the government has been at pains to point out that such inflammatory comments are not a big deal when uttered by a man who gave them £10 million.

Speaking to Grace Under Pressure, government spokesman, Redifura Bung revealed, "It is hoped that this announcement has helped to clarify in the minds of the electorate, especially the minds of the elderly white middle class electorate that vote for us, that racist comments made by a millionaire Tory donor are nowhere near as serious as regular race-based bigotry made by someone who hasn't made such a financial contribution to party funds."

“So just to clarify donor racism is very different to proper racism. It’s just a bit of fun like watching Til Death Do Us Part,  Love Thy Neighbour, a Little Britain sketch or going to a Bernard Manning stand up routine. If only people would just stop being so woke we could just forget all about it and all that dosh we are not going to give back."

"Why can't people just focus on the more urgent and pressing concerns affecting people such as that highly suspicious picture taken by the Princess of Wales and her blatent attempt to try to fool the nation that she can manage to capture an image of three children all smiling at the same time. I mean anyone with kids knows thats just impossible".

Meanwhile at the time of going to press Grace Under Pressure is not able to confirm just how much money Diana Abbott managed to raise during her sponsered sit to stand fundraiser against racism in the House of Commons yesterday but can only hope that Sir Lyndsay Hoyle manages to achnowledge to her sterling performance next time. Perhaps he should have gone to specsavers?
