28th April Just Dancing in the dark

Its interesting how sometimes the most popular songs of an artist are not neccesarily your own particular favourites. Over the past few days I have been having a Brucie moment, that's Springsteen not Forsythe just in case you were wondering, by trying to put together a faviourite top 20.

It has proved an impossible task, being a list that constantly seems to change almost daily. And also one that would omit many of what would be regarded a die hard classics by 'Th Boss''. So today I have decided to upload three songs from Bruce's back cataloge which would never make a Top 20, but which I simply love and have often been known to play on repeat cycle. So sit back an enjoy One Step Up, Man's Job and Happy.

When I look at myself I don't seeThe man I wanted to beSomewhere along the line I slipped off trackI'm caught movin' one step up and two steps back

Now if you're lookin' for a heroSomeone to save the dayWell darlin' my feetThey're made of clayBut I've got something in my soulAnd I want to give it upBut gettin' up the nerveGettin' up the nerveGettin' up the nerve is a man's man's job

Some need gold and some need diamond ringsOr a drug to take away the pain that living bringsA promise of a better world to comeWhen whatever here is doneI don't need that sky of blueAll I know's since I found you, I'm happy when I'm in your armsHappy, darling, come the darkHappy when I taste your kissI'm happy in a love like this
